TIRED!!!

It is Friday and the week's tiring is now taking effect... My eyes are closing, my muscles feel weak and my feet drag across the floor. I feel like a little koumaki wreck. Anyway, we did some great stuff at AKTO and some stressful stuff at dentistry... Anyway, here are some stuff we did today. :) Hands andheads tilting.















Also, i just got a 3D program, and was playing with it the other day. This is the result and I am happy with it. :)










Koumaki now goes to rest... It's been an awfully long week.
PS: I've been working on a skull project this week. (the few hours I can) and i will show you the results as soon as possible!

AKTO lessons!!!

Today we did our first actual lesson :)
i was late more than half an hour... :/
Sooo i was running all the way from the bus station, looking at my new clock pendant and whispering to myself, i'm late, i'm late, i'm late!!!!

Shame i didn't have bunny ears on my hoodie... :P
i learned a whole bunch of new stuff XD
oh... also, today there was a strike. bus drivers' strike. i walked home from the metro station and it took me 40 minutes. I almost got sick there...
And the best part is, that the minute i get home, a storm breaks out! So, i was kind of lucky after all :)
Oh, and we went shopping... :) i bought some more Copic markers (love) and ecolines. (also love)
And i have to get some other equipment for my courses. :)
i feel so happy!!!
And tomorrow, i am watching Akira at the comics club, eating popcorn and chocolate!
and i have soufle for breakfast.
Could it be any better?

Greek Comics project

Hello people!
I'm sorry, i haven't updated for a long time...
I've been quite busy lately, from lab to lab and stuff.
Last time, we got to do an anaisthetic injection to each other! It was fun and felt numb for half an hour.
Now, to the point! Comic friends' club asked me to draw a month for their calendar for 2011, themed: witches.

I am not showing you the entire drawing, buuuut i am giving you a teaser. it was fun working on it because it gave me some motivation to work seriously, and i really enjoyed it.

i used some rasters from this site, as well as some default patterns i found at photoshop.
There were some lovely textures in deviantart too, as these of mayah-stock , which really helped me with my background!

New nibs!!!

Hello people!
Today was the first day back to university.
All the people! All the noise!!! I felt socially awkward. A little bit like an alien. I must get used to being around lots of people again.
Today, was also the day I went shopping XD
Not clothes and stuff (ok, Zara was tempting, but another time.)
I bought A3 papers Seller Glossy, aaaand... New crow quill pen nibs. I entered this shop on an impulse, as I was planning to go to the big-art-crafts-shop, 3 blocks away.
Sooo I got the nibs purely by luck. I am so happy!!!
Here is the first thing i made. Dipped the nib in the ink only 3x. My previous ones needed dipping much more often. I so like their flow. No more words. Just pictures. :)

PS: I went to the AKTO college. This year's gonna be tough if i take up my scholarship now. :/
PS2: I am glad they are willing to help me :)

Hello people :)
I didn't make it... i didn't see my interview today. What I was the most curious about, was the photo! i want to see it so bad. :(
Anyway, tomorrow i am sitting for the last exam of Septmeber, which happens to be... Physiology. I haven't studied well because of all these things happening to me. I am not complaining though! Keep them coming!
Also, I have an appointment with the comics-cartoon-animation proffessor in AKTO private art college. So, i had to pick up and arrange my portfolio.
I believe that less is more, so I ended up with the first professional poster i ever made, two four-pages comics published in the '9' magazine, a cover for the same magazine, and 2, maybe 3 more recent pin ups, to demonstrate my progress.
Just wish me luck for both.

Hallo people! :)
Starting from today, i will be updating my blog in English, as other fellow artists advised me to do.
Well... to begin with, yesterday i had my second interview and my first shootin!
My first interview was with Yannis Iatrou for the greek comics site . The interview is also available at his blog.
The shooting was fun and the photographer was very helpful and helped me relax, instead of taking fixed poses.
I am uploading it as soon as it gets published!
Both interviews were given because i won an annual comics competition, the prize of which is a 21.000 euro scholarship in comics!
This friday I am meeting the proffessor responsible for the comic section at the private art college of AKTO. i have to arrange my portfolio and present it so that i can skip one year of basics and attend more advanced classes.
Wish me luck! On friday i am also getting over with my exams, so i will go on a shopping spree-I want to buy A3 papers for pencils, inks, crow quill pens, sakura markers and a light box table (from IKEA, meant to be a bar table, thank you George Komiotis!)
This year i feel like working. Let's just wish that dentistry will let me breathe this year!!!!

PS: backstage treat!!! George Komiotis and i were arguing about my comic :P
i tried to convince him about my superior art style, but he couldn't be persuaded. Now, he has no choice but to FACE MY WRATH AND PERISH!!!
